The first baby born in 2009 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center was Natilie Grace Devine. She was born at 4:43 a.m. to Tammy and Matt Devine, of Carl Junction. She weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces.
Tammy and Matt Devine said Natilie was a “surprise.” She is their fourth child.
“We thought we were all finished with our family, but God had other plans,” Tammy Devine said. “We feel blessed. We’ve been blessed four times.” Matt Devine said the new arrival has changed his perspective on things. “At the top of the list was the economy and Israel and Pakistan, and now that’s kind of faded into the background for me,” Devine said.
